Tracie Daniels

Tracie started Our Sisters’ Circle in 2023 with the hope of creating communal spaces for Black women to enhance their mental wellness through sisterhood, education, advocacy and therapeutic support. Tracie has a Master’s in Counseling and practiced as a therapist for a number of years. Mental health education and awareness has always been important to her. Tracie is an entrepreneur, educator, author, researcher and advocate, but she’s also a mom, sister, wife, aunt, friend, mentor and lifelong supporter of Black women. Tracie believes in the power of sisterhood and connection and continuously works to bring more women into Our Sisters’ Circle. She currently resides in Southern Maryland with her husband and three beautiful children, Cheyenne, Ricardo & London.

Vice President (Marketing)

Crystal Cumbo

Crystal Cumbo is a seasoned executive leader and Founder of Workforce Resources Group, Inc., bringing over 20 years of experience in human resources, organizational development, and strategic advisory across nonprofit and mission-driven sectors. Throughout her career, she has championed people-centered leadership, equity-driven strategy, and culture transformation that prioritizes dignity, wellness, and inclusion. Her passion for advancing mental health, healing-centered leadership, and equitable opportunities for women—particularly those in underserved communities—drives her commitment to service. Crystal’s work integrates mental wellness frameworks, inclusive leadership development, and community-centered programming to create environments where women feel seen, supported, and empowered. She brings extensive experience partnering closely with governance bodies and understands the fiduciary responsibility and mission alignment required to steward an organization forward. At her core, Crystal is a connector, strategist, and advocate who believes transformative impact begins with safe, affirming spaces for women to heal and thrive. She is honored to contribute her expertise, voice, and heart to further the mission of Our Sisters’ Circle.

Vice President (Engagement)

Taylor Shiver, LCPC

With a decade of experience in the field of mental health and wellness, Taylor brings both professional expertise as a psychotherapist and a personal understanding of creating spaces where Black women feel truly seen, heard, and supported. She is committed to being part of the solution as a woman who is of this community, not just in service to it. Black women’s mental health is a necessity, not a luxury. Every Black woman deserves access to affirming spaces that honor the fullness of who she is. “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.” — Audre Lorde

Vice President (Programs)

Valerie Dawkins, LCPC

Valerie is a licensed mental health therapist with more than 30 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to diverse communities. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Counseling, a Post-Master’s Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Certificate in Biblical Counseling, allowing her to thoughtfully integrate faith and clinical practice. Throughout her career, Valerie has served at-risk youth, foster care populations, survivors of sexual assault, individuals struggling with substance use, and countless individuals, couples, and families seeking healing and stability. She currently owns and operates a thriving telehealth private practice serving adults, couples, and families across Maryland. As a Board-approved clinical supervisor, she is also committed to equipping and mentoring the next generation of therapists. Valerie brings to the board a deep passion for advocacy, healing, and empowering Black women to prioritize their mental health and well-being. She lives by the motto, “A life of service is a life well lived.”

Vice President (Fundraising)

Belinda Hayes

With a background in Community Health and Business Administration, Belinda offers a unique blend of compassion, active listening, and strategic leadership in her work and services in the community.  Outside of Belinda’s professional and service commitments, she enjoys leisure reading and continuous learning.  She draws from the words and legacy of Angela Davis, whose advocacy for justice and community empowerment reflects many of Belinda’s values.  She strives to embody many of Davis’s teachings, especially the quote: “You have to act as if it were possible to radically transform the world. And you have to do it all the time.”  Belinda embodies this philosophy in both her service and everyday life.
